通常有管理員或有電梯的社區大樓多有垃圾清運服務，但還是要依照社區管理委員會以及住戶結果來決定。以社區大樓都有垃圾清運服務來說明，一般來說主要會分一般垃圾、紙類、金屬類(鐵罐鋁罐)、塑膠容器(寶特瓶)、玻璃類及廚餘，來集中收集社區住戶的垃圾及回收，但至於是否有強制要求使用垃圾專用袋，也須依社區管委會公布為準。

若社區大樓無提供垃圾清運服務或是有些無管理員的華廈或公寓，住戶就得自行在家中先做好分類，且裝入垃圾專用袋等垃圾車及資源回收車收走。垃圾車通常在夜間出現，並播放著獨特的貝多芬音樂。然而並非每個人都能配合垃圾車的時間，有些華廈或公寓的住戶會固定找垃圾清理員集中收集，以解決無法配合垃圾車的問題。 

依照台北市政府規定，資源回收採分天分類回收方式，分為「平面類」、「立體類」及「其他類」三大類。
平面類資源回收物包括乾淨舊衣類、廢紙類、舊書和乾淨塑膠袋，每週一、五回收；
立體類資收物包括各類瓶罐、紙容器、小家電和3C產品等，每週二、四、六回收；
其他類如燈管、電池、光碟片及難分難解回收物等，則為星期一、二、四、五、六回收。

Ａ：專用垃圾袋有哪些？
Ｑ：ㄧ、目前本市販售之專用袋共有七種型號。每包個數及售價如下：
3公升袋：每包20個，新售價21元。
5公升袋：每包20個，新售價36元。
14公升袋：每包20個，新售價100元。
25公升袋：每包20個，新售價180元。
33公升袋：每包20個，新售價237元。
76公升袋：每包10個，新售價273元。
120公升袋：每包5個，新售價216元。
二、環保兩用袋，型號分別為小、中及大型袋，售價分別為1元、2元及5元。

Ａ：哪裡可以買專用垃圾袋？
Ｑ：民眾可就近到住家附近之7-11、全家便利商店、萊爾富、OK便利商店、全聯或小北百貨等連鎖便利超商或有「專用垃圾袋銷售處」標示之商店購買專用垃圾袋。

1.        For community buildings with garbage collection services, the waste is typically sorted into general waste, paper, metals (such as tin and aluminum cans), plastic containers (like PET bottles), glass, and kitchen waste for collection and recycling by the community.

2.        Whethers there is a mandatory requirement to use designated garbage bags also depends on the regulations set by the community management committee.

3.        If a community building does not provide garbage collection services or in some apartments without an administrator, residents must sort their waste at home and place it in designated garbage bags for collection by garbage and recycling trucks.

4.        Garbage trucks usually appear at night, playing a unique Beethoven tune.

5.        Not everyone can match the schedule of the garbage truck, so some residents of apartments may arrange for a garbage collector to gather waste regularly, addressing the issue of being unable to meet the garbage truck's schedule.

6.        According to Taipei City Government regulations, recycling is collected on different days based on categories: 'flat,' 'three-dimensional,' and 'other'.

7.        "Flat" recyclables include clean old clothes, waste paper, old books, and clean plastic bags, collected on Mondays and Fridays.

8.        "Three-dimensional" recyclables include various bottles and cans, paper containers, small appliances, and 3C products, collected on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

9.        "Other" recyclables, such as light bulbs, batteries, CDs, and difficult-to-recycle items, are collected on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
