需要申請水、電、瓦斯嗎？需要換帳單的用戶名稱嗎？ Utility Meter Transfers: What Tenants Need to Know

一般來說，在國外租屋簽約後，由房客自行聯絡水、電和瓦斯公司人員進行開通。然而，在台灣，原則上房子的所有權人於購屋完成後，會向水、電和瓦斯公司申請安裝儀表，而帳單上的用戶名稱即該申請人。若在承租房子時，遇到房子尚未安裝儀表時，需請屋主向水、電和瓦斯公司申請安裝。

當屋主將房子出租時，如已經和房客簽約完成，也訂好遷入交屋日期時，水、電和瓦斯費用會於遷入交屋日開始起算，直到房客遷出交屋當日，此段期間費用皆由房客負擔。舉例來說，房屋租約為2022年1月15日至2023年1月14日，屋主與房客雙方說好於2022年1月13日交屋給房客，那麼房客所需負擔水、電和瓦斯費用由2022年1月13日開始起算至2023年1月14日遷出交屋，如遇到房客延後遷出交屋，費用即算至延後遷出交屋之日。

台灣的水、電和瓦斯費用為二個月收取一次，帳單上的用戶名通常為房子的所有權人（也就是首次申請安裝的申請人），有些房客因水、電和瓦斯費用可以向自己公司申請報帳，會要求將帳單上的用戶名稱改為房客名（不論是個人或是公司戶），而這時就需要請新用戶備妥相關文件至臨櫃辦理。
相同的，房客需在遷出交屋時，將戶名改回原用戶名。

In Taiwan, utility bills for water, electricity, and gas are issued bi-monthly, with the bill typically in the name of the property owner (the initial applicant). Some tenants, eligible for utility reimbursements from their companies, may request the bills to be changed to their name (either personal or company), requiring the new user to provide the necessary documents for the change at the service counter. Similarly, tenants must change the account name back to the original upon moving out. Here are some of the pointers regarding utility bills:

1. Tenants pay water, electricity, and gas charges from move-in to move-out dates.

2. Bills are issued every two months in Taiwan.

3. Account holder is usually the property owner; tenants can request a name change for reimbursement from their company. (Please notify our agent)

4. When moving out, tenants must change the account holder's name back to the original holder.
